How to reassure myself that everything is going to be okay cause I feel like my sanity is just going downhill over this stuff. I just need some advice on how to stop worrying and think logical on this. You would think my parents would be supportive and let me stay until the GI Bill gets approved, but my mom and I don't have the best relationship so it wouldn't surprise me. How it was struggle to find an open public bathroom or how I would stay in my hot car after work, bawling my eyes out because I had no where to go but to sit in the parking lot and wait for a friend to text me back to let me know it was okay to stay at their place for the night. I literally stay up at nights crying thinking about how I use to have to couch surf and I would hate to do it again. So, I just can't stop thinking about every worse case scenario like, 'what if my GI Bill gets denied?' Or 'what if it takes months to get my GI Bill?' 'What if I get fired from my job because I'm not working enough hours?' 'What if I have to sleep in my car again?' 'What if the college drops me because the GI Bill takes forever to get approved?' And just literally anything that could go wrong if I went and lived on my own that I would have to move out of the apartment cause I couldn't afford it. To top it off I live in a college town so the rent prices are ridiculously high. I have some money saved up in my savings, but that will quickly dwindle the moment I get an apartment because of inflation. I'm just so paranoid that once she gets back she is going to kick me out and I might end up being homeless again.

However, that bliss can only last so long and she returns in the next two weeks and it freaking scares me. My mom is also in the military and is currently deployed in Bahrain so it wasn't an issue for me to stay at home since my dad enjoys my company and doesn't mind me staying. More like my Mom since she believes in 'tough love' and just thinks I'm wasting my time going back to college. My parents are aware of the situation, but they are being pushy on having me move out. I have a part time job to help pay for bills and such, but my paycheck is only $500, so not a lot. I just want my classes to be paid for already so I don't have to worry about it. I'm waiting to get approved for the 9/11 GI Bill, but since you can't apply until you sign up it's been an agonizing wait. I got out back in May 2022 and I've been staying with my parents until school starts. During COVID too so it wasn't like I could just go anywhere since majority of everything was closed down.

It got denied anyways so yeah it was all pretty bad. Once the doctors found out I was homeless they contacted my chain of command and put me in temporary barracks, and I originally was going to report it but I was informed that I would get denied for schooling if I did. It just really traumatized me and I almost committed suicide over it but I went and got help. I was homeless for a short time while being active duty because my leadership kicked me out of military housing for a ridiculous reason I rather not go into detail about. The title kind of says it all, I'm scared about being homeless again.
